Ghost Story Ratings & Reviews
- paulfulbroJanuary 9, 2026A classic
- RWentworthMay 30, 2025A truly weird film, veering wildly in style from scene to scene, pastoral Yankee winter vibes aplenty. Vaseline smeared lenses and a procedural pace blunt any real scares, while the TV movie-level score can't seem to decide if the film needs nostalgia or Hermann-esque jump scares. Still, there are a few sublime gems scattered throughout, like some profoundly creepy FX work by Dick Smith, and a sultry, spooky, spectrally unsettling performance from Alice Krige. Not unhappy that I watched it, but what a strange mess!
