Richard et Susan ont choisi de passer des vacances bien méritées avec leurs deux enfants sur une petite île paradisiaque, située à quelques milles nautiques des côtes suédoises. Deux cent ans auparavant, l’endroit, qui était alors sous protectorat anglais, a été le théâtre d'une épidémie qui, suivie d’une longue mise en quarantaine, avait poussé les insulaires au cannibalisme. Cet épisode tragique, encore imprégné dans l’imaginaire des habitants, a rendu ces derniers hostiles envers les touristes. La présence sur l'île d'un tueur en série complique encore davantage le séjour des villégiateurs anglais.

- Solarfinder4 mars 2026all in all the storyline was quite clean and clear, though you could tell the original plot was not what was going to happen through the entirety of the storyline. I enjoyed the layout of the movie though I kind of wish there's a little more depth to the characters which could have been more fun to watch
- cloudsrival12 juin 2025Creative take with terrible execution. The story setup was good, but there is a sharp turn down shit lane. Comedy wasn't very funny. The fighting choreography doesn't exist AT ALL. People who survive on an island are apparently completely defenseless against unathletic city slickers who walk around stabbing them in the open woods. Not ONCE does anyone defend themselves. The ending is trash, as the comparatively innocent people are blamed for the massacre, leaving the psychopaths grinning happily on a return boat. Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead were classics. This is shit. Nick Frost disappoints without Simon Pegg.

- capitolfi9 mars 2025What a pleasant surprise... The writing may be on the wall for where this is eventually headed, but it's alot of fun getting there. It's also different just enough to almost keep you on your toes. Couple that with a gory rampage of epic (and silly) proportions, it's easy for a genre afficionado to root for. It's also funny. The build-up has an almost Summer Rental vibe, and, truth be told, I kept envisioning John Candy in the Frost role. I didn't much care for the male kid, but the other 3 leads were all great. The picturesque location & the quirky locals all add to a very entertaining 86 minutes. This is a damn good horror comedy. I really miss John Candy...

- Jo17 janvier 2025Thoroughly enjoyed this. - Scope for a sequel or a prequel. Nick Frost on writing duties and he does well. He appeared in a fair few things last year. This was the stand out.
