Directed by Yoshiaki KobayashiOne day, Kitaro receives a letter from a postman in the spirit world. The sender is Kitaro's best friend, Akuma-kun. In the letter, Kitaro asks for help in rescuing his beloved homeroom teacher, Hoshi-sensei, who has gone missing. One night two months ago, Hoshi-sensei fell in love with Sakurako, the spirit of cherry blossoms, and Sakurako sucked his life force out of him, turning him into a mummified man before he went missing. Kitaro and his friends set out to rescue him.
