Richard reviewedSeptember 29, 2025 Freaked is the cinematic equivalent of a punk rock carnival ride: loud, chaotic and proudly grotesque.
It’s not for everyone and that’s exactly why it’s brilliant.
I love the humor.
It’s juvenile, absurd, and completely unhinged.
But it’s also self-aware and packed with blink-and-you’ll-miss-it gags that reward repeat viewings.
The creature effects are surprisingly good and the cast leans into the madness with full commitment.
Sure, it’s not polished.
The plot is barely held together with duct tape and slime.
But that’s part of the charm.
If you’re into movies that feel like they were made by caffeinated weirdos with a love for latex and chaos, Freaked is a delightfully deranged ride.
It’s dumb, It’s smart, It’s disgusting and it’s hilarious.
