This is not a Bruce Willis movie. It's a movie that has Bruce Willis in it. It is a movie that is not believable because the women that were cast are not believable in those parts. It is the tired/typical movie where men are portrayed as weak, so the women can come across as strong. Others movies have successfully cast strong women as 'tough as nails' soldiers, but this movie fails. A top secret installation run by "battle-hardened" women soldiers who gasp in horror and put their hands over their mouths when they watch a red arrow on a screen disappear (illustrating a soldier in the field getting killed) ... seriously not believable. There is only 1 good-guy man portrayed as strong, all the other good-guy men are portrayed as weak. All the rest of the strong good-guys are women. Other that that 1 man who is strong, all the rest of the strong men are the evil bad-guys. I like shoot-em-up movies, with the elite US military men and women taking care of business, but this movie is terrible.

My quick rating - 4.5/10. Comparatively, this is a big step up. Considering where the bar has been set by Bruce Willis lately, it isn't saying that much. Still, I will keep returning, so may as well give you the rundown even though I know if you are a fan like me, you are watching regardless. Willis is located in a retirement home-type community that oddly needs some serious security just to get near. So when his son, who does a decent job in this one (Jesse Metcalfe), hunts him down since not only is it secure, but also a secret, we found out what else is going on. I'll just leave it at the facility isn't a retirement home, you can pick the secret branch of whatever you like, and pretend like you didn't see it coming. But when a group of renegades follows with revenge in mind, the assault on the Fortress begins. The action is adequate enough to keep you interested, and they weren't dumb enough to leave out some kick-ass eye candy as well, and Kelly Greyson filled that role quite nicely. Still, a very cookie-cutter action flick that doesn't do anything out of the ordinary. However, when you go back a couple of years and think of what Willis has thrown at our eyes, this all of a sudden becomes that much better. I am aware that my rating might be biased some so take it with a grain of salt. But in case you were wondering what Shannen Doherty has been up to, look no further. And further good news, apparently this is a trilogy LOL. Since these reviews were written, the true nature of the horrible health issue Bruce Willis is afflicted with has been publicly revealed. Please read the family statement. https://www.theaftd.org/mnlstatement23/
