Flight Ratings & Reviews
- CubaneDecember 10, 2025The plane would have stayed intact if he had shared his cocaine and bourbon with it as is specified in the preflight checklist
- AngusMcNutzJanuary 6, 2025Resonated very strongly with me. Plus, I’ll literally watch Denzel in anything. Extremely solid character study without getting heavy-handed.
- flavo43November 22, 2025Flight is a gripping character study built around one haunting question: is Captain Whip Whitaker a hero or a villain? Denzel Washington has played many leads with deep, complex flaws, but none quite as torn apart as Whip. He saves almost everyone on board with an impossible crash landing, yet he’s also drunk, high, and lying to himself and everyone else. The film refuses to let you sit comfortably on either side of that moral line. Washington carries all of Whip’s guilt, charm, denial, and raw fear in every scene, making his slow unraveling difficult to watch but impossible to look away from. The spectacular, terrifying plane sequence hooks you early, but it’s the aftermath—the investigations, relationships, and self-destruction—that truly defines the movie. Flight becomes less a disaster film and more a story about addiction, truth, and the painful cost of finally owning who you really are.
- tellumAugust 17, 2025One of Denzels greatest performances which is saying something.
