- Taylor SturgeJanuary 27, 2025I mean, the animatronics were cool and I liked Mike but it was quite confusing and wasn’t really that scary.
- dzay5February 16, 2025As a fnaf fan for 7 years I’ve really loved this movie and the games Scott cawthon made so thank you to all the people for helping making this movie happen.

- Kevin WardJuly 2, 2025My 13 y/o daughter invited a bunch of friends over to watch this tonight. I have never played any of the games, but all of her friends seemed to know all about it. I liked the depiction of the animatronic characters. They looked very good on screen. Beyond that, I didn’t really find much else that I liked. It’s not very scary and the kills were mostly underwhelming. That being said, the girls had a great time. Plus my youngest son (9), who is kind of a chicken when it comes to horror movies, made it through just fine. I can get behind anything that will get my kids to venture more into horror movies. So, I’m giving it a full extra star for the kid friendly horror and the fact that my daughter and her friends were all pretty enthused about it. If not for that, I’d probably give it a 2-star and be happy to never watch it again.

- Ashton ColeJune 10, 2025The movie fails to prioritize the gritty game lore and jumpscares that made the series famous in the very first place. It presents too little world building to newcomers to clarify what's going on, and certainly shows long-time fans little that's new beyond the Freddy torture chair that opens the film. The only jumpscares are presented as gags, and the movie lacks the original game's tension and creepy sound design. There's no sense of a broader universe beyond the one Freddy's location that appears in the film, and newcomers would be left to believe that William Afton and William Afton alone is the sole founder of Fazbear Entertainment. There are no references to iconic series' incidents like the Bite of '83 or '87, and rather than contextualizing the game's much pondered over mysteries, the movie instead creates an altogether separate timeline that long-time fans just don't care quite as much about. In short, it's not the worst movie ever by any means, but it is a rather dull film, especially to rewatch.
- Jamie TalbotJune 28, 2025If you like FNAF and know the lore of it then I think it’s definitely worth a watch. However if you have never played the games before then give it a miss. When playing the video games, they felt scary with lots of jump scares which this movie never provided. Few scenes made me jump but nothing properly scared me. There was a lot of plot holes in the storyline and it felt very messy as a whole. However, Mike came across as a very likeable character and the animatronics looked incredible in my opinion. I felt like this film had lots of potential but didn’t really live up to the hype. As a FNAF fan, I will go out of my way to watch the second film though.
- John HomenMarch 16, 2025Over hyped and under performs Typical of most films to come out this year, a promising project that fails to provide a compelling story. No spoilers here, if youre huge fans of the game, then watch it, and if youre like my adult kids watching it, I'm sure you'll also enjoy the constant "thats going against the cannon, thats not how any of the games went...." The dialogue is so poorly written that it almost detracts from how terrible the acting is, almost thought that was produced by Disney. The movie uses a repeated dream narrative to push the mains story arc, its a major plot point that intertwines with the female lead thats just used way to many times to provide so little to the story. Both characters could have met at a grief counseling session and come off as more relatable. Good effects, bad storytelling, uninspired dialogue and forgettable acting. Tick tock edits of it are the preferred version to watch.
- RyezooFebruary 4, 2025I've never really played these games, but this movie sure did an awful job getting me interested in it. Borning and laughably dumb moments. Animatronics for what its worth looked good "sometimes"
