- Doc Worm18. April 2026Fairly entertaining. Didn’t really work for me when it was trying to be the next ‘scream’. The topic at hand with content moderation and terms of service, while interesting to explore has shallow depth here. Faces of Death is at its best when it’s just letting Barbie Ferrara scream, go crazy and roll around in blood. Dacre Montgomery is pretty excellent his villain role here. Shame he had to die so they couldn’t make 10 more of these that get progressively worse.

April 2026“it looks like a student film.” the moment arthur replies to criticism of his artistic snuff film from an alt account and says “i thought the lighting was expressive” i cackled and knew i was in good hands. dacre is doing a freaky little voice and it’s great; he’s in his little freak era à la daniel radcliffe or robert pattinson and it’s fantastic. the horror sequences are tense and the gore is abundant. the meta commentary on consumption of violence and the complicity of corporations in that consumption is scathing and feels like the kind of bite that the scream franchise has lost. solid, satisfying slasher. p.s. - cultfilmliker14. April 2026My bloodlust has been satiated Slightly too silly in the bad way in the back half, but other than that a fun conceit and a great way to bring back the ultimate cult film. Fun fact: I just found out the monkey scene was fake! I feel so much better about it being reused in this now lol Censor was prime viewing to prepare for this! Currently Ranked #17/46 in 2026 Ranked
