Elena: Portrait of an Activist Elena Pecaric sings, writes, makes videos, leads, protest. She ran for President of Slovenia, tried to become Member of European Parliament. A life long wheelchair user, Elena is an uncompromising politician with a sense for self deprecating humour. On the road to MEP candidacy we discover her political convictions and persistence. She started YHD. A journalist and satirical video author, she founded Equal Opportunities Party and published a book Eutropia. Her memories reveal segregation and abuse of disabled people and explain why she became rebel with a cause. Elena says: Handicap is not what you are; it is how others see you. She is not disappointed for not becoming MEP candidate. Her struggle continues.
