In August 1944, the Wehrmacht is looking in the Toscany for Robert Einstein, the cousin and close friend of Albert Einstein. The Germans execute the wife of Einstein, Nina, and their daughters Luce and Cici. Lorenza and Paola, the grand nieces of Albert Einstein are forced to witness the murder. Lorenza and Paola are the only remaining eyewitnesses of the massacre. After more then seventy years they return to the Einstein villa for the first time and tell their story.
