Simple sentences become lengthy set pieces, mundane situations are intricately, exhaustively explored. Sky Elobar's McCartney is both beautifully observed and hilariously obscene, Gil Gex's Wonder is... well, a wonder. It's grotesque, puerile and yet somehow beautiful. And funny. Oh my god, it's funny.
