- Kevin WardJanuary 12, 2026Disn’t realize this wasn’t a documentary until I got well into the story. I think I finally clocked it when Scoot McNairy showed up. Not pure fiction as it blends real world characters and (I’m assuming) real world events to craft a hybrid docufiction. It’s really well done. Cinema verite again was on point that I didn’t realize it wasn’t pure documentary. For that reason I kind of got pulled out of the story anytime McNairy or Ehle is on screen.
