- flowersfamilyFebruary 14, 2026How is this film stuck on VHS? This is an entertaining made-for-TV movie with a talented cast and a story that raises many questions that it proceeds to answer. I can't say much without spoiling the story, but I enjoyed the mysteries and the resolutions to them. Cicely Tyson is a gift to us all with her performances and she doesn't disappoint. Gregory Harrison is terrific as are long-time veteran actors Kevin McCarthy and Lane Smith. Far worse TV movies have landed on streaming or even blu-ray, so I can only assume rights issues have kept this one hidden. Thankfully, there are VHS rips out there that you can stumble upon or hunt for the VHS itself. But if you represent a boutique physical media label looking for your next blu-ray or 4K release, bring this one to the masses!
