It's been 20 years and Harry Dunn has found something out - he has a daughter! Lloyd Christmas, his equally dim-witted friend, takes one look at a picture of her, develops a crush, and insists the two track her down. What ensues when Harry finally agrees is a bizarre encounter with an old lady and more hilarity because of their sheer stupidity.

- Manuel FrangisMarch 26, 2025I just watched Dumb and Dumber To and I give it 5 out of 5 stars. It is exactly what I hoped for in a sequel. It brings back the same dumb humor, the same chaotic energy, and the same two clueless best friends that made the first one a comedy classic. It might not be for everyone, but if you loved the original, this one hits all the right notes and still made me laugh the whole way through. Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels return as Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne, and it feels like they never left. They completely step back into these characters with no hesitation. From the way they talk, move, and react to literally everything, they bring the exact same energy as before. Their chemistry is still perfect. Watching them bounce ridiculous ideas off each other, mess everything up, and somehow keep going no matter what is just as funny as it was in the first movie. The plot is simple but works great for a comedy like this. Harry finds out he might have a daughter and convinces Lloyd to go on a cross-country trip to find her. That road trip setup leads to all kinds of stupid situations, awkward encounters, and over-the-top jokes that are exactly what you want from these two. The comedy is wild, loud, and completely unfiltered. It never tries to be serious or clever. It is just here to make you laugh at the dumbest things, and it works. Some of the jokes are gross, some are totally random, and some are so awkward you cannot help but laugh. I honestly appreciated how hard the movie leaned into its own style and never pulled back. There are scenes in this movie that had me cracking up because of how far they took the joke. They take tiny setups and push them all the way to the edge, and that kind of commitment is what makes this kind of comedy work. You do not watch Dumb and Dumber for subtle humor. You watch it to see how far Lloyd and Harry can go without ever realizing how dumb they are. The supporting cast is decent, and the plot does not get in the way of the comedy. There is just enough of a story to keep things moving, but the main focus is always on the duo causing chaos wherever they go. Whether they are crashing a high profile conference or completely misunderstanding basic directions, the movie is filled with moments that make you laugh just because of how ridiculous it all is. I give Dumb and Dumber To 5 out of 5 stars not because it is perfect, but because it delivers exactly what it promises. It brings back two of the funniest characters ever and puts them in a fresh set of dumb situations without holding back. It is dumb in all the best ways. Overall Dumb and Dumber To is a hilarious sequel that gives fans more of what they loved about the first one. It never tries to be something new or deeper. It just brings back Lloyd and Harry for another unforgettable adventure. I had a blast watching it and laughed more than I expected. For me, that makes it a total win.
- Mister ArnMay 25, 2025A couple of laughs were built around the same gags as the first film. It gets old pretty quickly.
- 匚卂尺ㄥJanuary 29, 2025🥴 More crass than the first one, Dumb and Dumber To underscores the twenty years that have passed right from the get-go. Which is both brave and necessary. Having lost his true love, Mary, Lloyd has been in an assisted living facility for the last two decades - not speaking, not moving, growing his facial hair - and all the while, best pal, Harry has visited and done what he can to help. When Harry needs to find his potential daughter by Kathleen Turner (my heart near stopped), the lads must hit the road again. The jokes come thick and fast and there’s a lovely little bit of acting from Laurie Holden (Marita Covarrubias in X Files). However, where the first one was crass in places, this one goes to a grosser, stickier place. You might need to be in the right mood for it, but there was one moment that made me laugh for five minutes straight. I like it a lot.
