The film tells the story of the self-taught composer and violeira (Brazilian viola player) Helena Meirelles, hailing from Mato Grosso do Sul. Despite her undeniable talent, Helena performed on a theater stage for the first time at the age of 67, challenging society with her lifestyle, breaking down prejudices, and even making it onto the list of the world's top 100 guitarists, as published by the American magazine Guitar Player. An achievement for which she received praise from Eric Clapton.
