DOA: Dead or Alive Ratings & Reviews
- Brandon WaltonOctober 6, 2025Good movie
- LivewireAdminSeptember 11, 2025They nailed the casting (for the most part) and I really enjoyed how some of the characters were paired off into sub-stories—Tina and Zack, Christie and Max, Kasumi and Hyabusa. Why did they go with Eric Roberts though? That casting felt out of place. The fight choreography here is well done and who doesn't love a remote, tropical island setting for a fight tournament? All in all, worth a watch for hardcore fans of the series. Letterboxd: FilmPhanPA
- jamesbargerJuly 14, 2025Super fun gaming movie.....just the right amount of disbelief and humor.....the roller skater!
- cyberbillpJune 9, 2025Campy fun guys movie. Can't be missed. No gore, lots of wire work and the prettiest ensemble cast ever.
- Albert Edward “Albie” Mc ManusMay 31, 2025Look I get the reasoning from the critics and the bad reviews. Making a live action from a video has never gone well or near to the script. But having said that, if you watch the movie outside the knowledge of the video game, it's actually quite nice. The fighting scenes are a bit over the top but very nice flowing within the storyline crafted by the movie. Granted that the storyline is tuned way up to God mode, but it resolves itself very well with a satisfying downfall of the Villian. The choice of actors and actresses are also common for that era, very overly masculine and very sexy. I might be in the rarity for watching movies without their baggage context and applying extra nuance in my judgement, but this movie remains in my top 10 of all time favourites, right behind Battleship.
