Může být napravený padouch vůbec ještě zábavný? Když vypráví pohádky na dobrou noc? Když už nechce vůbec nic ukrást? Gru naštěstí neskončí jako obyčejný civil, protože v jeho nitru se stále ukrývají schopnosti, které by leckdo rád využil. Jako například šéf mocné Antipadoušské ligy, Silas Velezadek (To příjmení nekomentujte, nemá to rád). Silas sice padouchy všeho druhu hluboce opovrhuje, ale kdo se může do myšlení zlosyna vcítit líp než zlosyn bývalý? A tak vyšle svou nejlepší agentku Lucy Wilde, aby Grua přiměla ke spolupráci. Té se to s pomocí paralyzéru převlečeného za rtěnku podaří a Gru začne na stará kolena páchat dobro. A brzy bude mít plné ruce práce, protože na radaru Antipadoušské ligy se objevil obzvlášť protřelý padouch Eduardo, nevysvětlitelně začali mizet Mimoňové, Margo se zapalují lýtka, Edith je i nadále životu nebezpečná a Agnes se všemožně snaží sehnat taťkovi nějakou mamku. A právě to může být pro Grua ve finále tou největší hrozbou.

- Manuel Frangis19. března 2025I just watched Despicable Me 2 again and I would give it a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars. This sequel takes everything that made the first movie great and adds even more fun adventure and humor. While it does not quite have the same emotional impact as the original it is still a fantastic animated movie that delivers plenty of laughs and excitement. The story picks up with Gru who has now left behind his villainous ways to focus on raising Margo Edith and Agnes. But of course things do not stay quiet for long as Gru gets pulled into a new adventure that puts him in the middle of another over the top mission. The plot is fun and fast paced keeping things moving with plenty of twists and hilarious moments. Steve Carell once again nails it as Gru. His voice performance is just as funny and full of personality as in the first movie. This time around we get to see a different side of Gru as he adjusts to his new life and takes on new challenges. Watching him navigate everything from parenting to secret missions is just as entertaining as his villainous schemes from the first movie. The girls Margo Edith and Agnes are still just as lovable. Their dynamic with Gru continues to be the heart of the movie and they each get their own fun moments to shine. Agnes is once again a scene stealer with her adorable energy and hilarious one liners. The way the movie balances action and family moments makes it just as engaging as it is funny. The Minions are even more chaotic this time around. If you loved them in the first movie you are going to love them even more here. Their ridiculous antics and silly humor take center stage even more in this sequel and while they might not be for everyone their scenes are some of the funniest in the movie. Their slapstick comedy is perfectly timed and adds so much energy to every scene they are in. The new characters are also a great addition. Kristen Wiig as Lucy Wilde is one of the best parts of the movie. Her character brings a lot of fun energy and her chemistry with Gru makes for some really entertaining moments. The villain in this movie is also over the top and hilarious adding a lot of great action and humor to the story. Visually the movie looks even better than the first one. The animation is bright colorful and full of life. Every scene pops with energy and the character designs are as fun and expressive as ever. The action sequences are bigger and more exciting making the whole movie feel even more like an adventure. The humor is nonstop and while some jokes are aimed at kids there are plenty of clever moments that make it just as fun for adults. The movie knows exactly what it wants to be and leans into the comedy and fun without taking itself too seriously. The balance between action humor and heartfelt moments is what makes it work so well. The only reason I would not rank this as high as the first movie is that it does not have quite the same emotional impact. The first movie had a more personal story about Gru’s growth as a character while this one leans more into the fun and adventure. That being said it is still a fantastic movie that is worth watching. Despicable Me 2 is a great sequel that keeps the fun going. It is funny fast paced and packed with memorable moments. Whether you are a fan of the first movie or just looking for a great animated film this one is definitely worth watching. I had a great time with it and it is a movie I will keep coming back to.

Gru’s retired from evil, now raising Margo, Edith and Agnes with awkward charm and plenty of Minion backup. But peace doesn’t last. The Anti-Villain League recruits him to stop a new threat and he’s paired with Lucy Wilde, a quirky agent with a taser and zero chill. The villain? El Macho. Loud, over the top and riding a shark strapped with dynamite. Subtlety not included. The animation pops, bright colors, fast pacing and action sequences that feel like sugar fueled spy parodies. The Minions take center stage, donning disguises, causing chaos and occasionally stealing the spotlight from the actual plot. I liked the energy, the new characters and the way it leaned into family themes without losing its slapstick soul. It is a lively, colorful sequel that expands the franchise with new characters, bigger action and plenty of laughs. While it doesn’t quite match the emotional charm of the original, it’s still a fun ride for fans of Gru and his banana loving crew.
