Der Schwierige
Directed by John OldenHans Karl Bühl took part in the First World War and now lives together with his sister Crescence and his nephew Stani, who adore him, a patriarchal life in his Viennese city palace. On the occasion of a soirée given by his friend Altenwyl, he is said to have established a connection between Stani and Helene, the enchanting daughter of Altenwyl, which was produced by the North German aristocrat Neuhoff. It is intended to also try to reconcile the almost broken marriage of his friend Hechingen with the capricious Antoinette, who once was close to him.
