- Kevin WardJuly 6, 2025A stunningly beautiful neo-noir from Park Chan-wook that follows Hae-jun (Park Hae-il) a detective that becomes infatuated with Seo-rae (Tang Wei) the prime suspect his murder investigation and widow to the victim. Tang Wei is perfection as mysterious femme fatale and Hae-jun’s constant eye-dropping suggest that he isn’t necessarily seeing everything clearly. Twists and turns and a not so great subtitle track made this a challenging watch at times. Actually had to rewatch a few parts to make sense of everything. Even considering that, it’s a captivating watch with an ending that left me rather heartbroken.
- RickJuly 5, 2025One of the most visually pleasing movies I’ve seen in a while. The characters were great, the rug pulls were satisfying, and the last act was fantastic. Chan-wook is one of the best there is.
- cultfilmlikerJune 23, 2025This film has metaphorically got me fucked up!! Park Chan-wook films have such a singular beauty to them, ugh. The transitions are always so unique, vibrant, and seamless - it’s truly stunning. Love how integral they are in his works. Film school nerd shit esp wrt visual metaphors Interview scene with mirror reflections is always a fun little treat
