Seeing reviews mentioning fun little twists kinda made it so i was expecting them the entire time and im doing the same to you by saying so. Still though its a fun, clever little tight story with some fun if not grandiose performances. Christopher Reeve was a talent for sure. You can feel how much he wanted to make good art. Thats very prevalent in his interviews too.
- ZokkiieDecember 6, 2025Super fun and twisty. It keeps throwing curveballs, and the cast clearly has a good time with it. It’s clever without trying too hard and just a really enjoyable, slightly chaotic little thriller.
- cultfilmlikerMarch 20, 2025Christopher Reeve is Ash from THE EVIL DEAD Powerful performances from the leads. Dyan Cannon absolutely shines in this role. An immediate fav performance of mine. Incredible. Enjoyed the psychic character and the actress very much. Only complaint is Caine overacting at points which happens Very capably directed by Lumet and enjoyed the wildly meta script tho parts of the plot feel tired to me but I blame that on time which sucks bc I feel it makes the dialogue a slog. The tone of the script is incredibly pompous but I get it and enjoyed it.
