- Doc WormFebruary 18, 2026A madcap mess. Narratively, Crime Wave is borderline incoherent. But if you can appreciate Sam Raimi’s brand of mean-spirited slapstick humor- this movie has it on display more than perhaps any other feature he’s worked on. For me, it was easy to forgive its structural misgivings due to just how fun it it is to watch.
