- Junior ReyesFebruary 19, 2026"Look, to be honest, I sat down to watch it expecting the typical action movie and I was pleasantly surprised. It's not the masterpiece of the century, but it delivers on its promise: pure, unadulterated adrenaline. What captivated me most was that, unlike other films where the soldiers seem like robots, here I felt that Captain Guerrero (Luis Alberti) and his team, the 'Bats,' had a bit more heart. You can see that camaraderie; they're friends who look out for each other and who, suddenly, find themselves trapped in a death trap in the middle of the woods because of a cartel ambush. What I liked: * It gets straight to the point: It's about 85 minutes long. It doesn't waste time with unnecessary drama; from the moment they rescue the women and encounter 'The Stinger,' the tension never lets up. * It feels real: Sometimes action movies overuse computer effects, but here the gunfire and the tactics in the forest feel more raw." More 'real'. * The villain: Noé Hernández as the cartel boss gave me chills. He's one of those bad guys you really want to see caught. What made me think: * The ending is bittersweet: It hurt to see that not everyone gets out unscathed. Losing characters like Pollo or Tanque leaves you with that lump in your throat because you'd grown attached to them. * A little fast-paced: Sometimes I felt like they went from one fight to another too quickly, not even giving me time to blink. In short, I liked it because it's a story of survival and not giving up, even when everything is against you. It's one of those movies that keeps you glued to your seat and, when it ends, leaves you with the feeling that it was worth the time.
