Since Nora attended the trial of Jacques Viguier, accused of his wife's murder, she has been convinced of his innocence. Fearing a miscarriage of justice, she convinces a lawyer to defend him on appeal. Together they will fight a fierce battle against injustice, but as their options run out, Nora's search for the truth will become an obsession.
