Constantine Ratings & Reviews
- Eldon McGuinnessApril 8, 2025Constantine is such a great antihero, and this live-action version is a great example of what a live-action version of an animated character can be. Keanu Reeves is such a good fit for this character when it comes to looks and his ability to fit the attitude and feel of the character is uncanny. The supporting cast is no slouch either and helps to add a touch of drama and comedy in just the right areas. The storyline is great and sticks to an arc that you would find in the Constantine universe while giving you a great introduction to the character himself. The Special effects are nicely done, though nothing major other than the hellscapes. Overall, this is a great addition to the character, and I hope to see more!
- NotoriousEdgeNovember 21, 2025Keanu is always the chosen one I don’t make the rules
- Randy HoopesApril 29, 2025Loved this movie
- NonPlayableContentSeptember 27, 2025Back when DC couldn't do wrong by me even when they were putting out goofy theatrical flops in between every good film. Truly a great occult movie even if they didn't do justice to how mean/evil Constantine really is. Character revisions happen, im glad the overall product is entertaining.
- AmineOctober 31, 2025🔥 My thoughts after watching Constantine: Honestly, this film still stands as one of the best dark fantasy movies of the 2000s. The gloomy atmosphere, Keanu Reeves’ stoic yet emotional performance, and the haunting soundtrack make it unforgettable. The mix of religion, mythology, and supernatural horror is done brilliantly. Constantine himself is such a complex, broken hero — and that final scene with Lucifer? Absolutely iconic. A movie worth rewatching every few years. 👏 ⭐ Personal Rating: 8.5 / 10 🎬 Best Scene: The confrontation with the Devil — pure cinematic gold.
- AjknollAugust 14, 2025Awesome! Watch it again for the first time!
- RecordedsnakeOctober 24, 2025Constantine is an absolute masterpiece of dark supernatural storytelling. Keanu Reeves delivers a powerful, brooding performance as John Constantine — a cynical exorcist caught between Heaven and Hell. The film’s atmosphere is hauntingly beautiful, blending gothic visuals, sharp dialogue, and deep moral themes about redemption and faith. The action scenes are intense, the world-building is rich, and every moment pulls you deeper into its eerie, mysterious universe. A true cult classic that only gets better with each rewatch!
- DisentOctober 15, 2025Underrated and under appreciated since it came out, it seems to be gaining some of the respect it should've got. Sure it deviates from the comic character (that no one had heard of before that) but who really cares, its not a gender / race swap for the sake of pandering, its well cast and entertaining af. I keep coming back to this movie every now and then, I hope for a sequel but Gunns DCU doesnt really seem to fit this style
- Princess ZoeJuly 18, 2025One of the absolute best
- mickerdooJune 28, 2025Battle of good and evil in a demon-riddled world. Keanu plays the cool, lost hope, lone wolf. One of the few possession movies I like.
- RichardOctober 12, 2025This one’s aged like a bottle of holy water left in a dusty cabinet, dark, potent and surprisingly satisfying. Constantine isn’t a perfect adaptation of the Hellblazer comics, but it captures the essence: a cynical, chain smoking exorcist caught between heaven and hell, trying to earn redemption one demon banishment at a time. The film’s atmosphere is its strongest asset: drenched in noir shadows, apocalyptic dread and theological ambiguity. The hellscapes are gritty and imaginative and the practical effects still hold up. It’s a world where mirrors trap demons, beetles screech like banshees and faith is a weapon as much as a burden. It stumbles here and there and the pacing dips in the middle, but it’s a stylish, ambitious dive into the supernatural that deserves more love than it got on release. If you like your occult thrillers with mood, myth and a touch of existential despair, Constantine delivers in my opinion.
- HakihikoOctober 11, 2025Dark, Stylish, and Underrated “Constantine” is one of those movies that doesn’t quite reach greatness, but still manages to stand out thanks to its striking atmosphere, strong visuals, and a committed performance from Keanu Reeves. The film dives into a gritty supernatural world where heaven and hell blur with modern reality, and it does so with style and confidence. Reeves brings a cool, detached energy to John Constantine — a cynical exorcist caught between worlds — and while his take differs from the comic version, it works surprisingly well within the movie’s tone. The supporting cast, especially Rachel Weisz and Tilda Swinton, adds depth and intrigue, giving the story a touch of sophistication it might otherwise lack. The film’s dark, moody aesthetic, combined with clever visual effects and sharp production design, makes it a pleasure to watch even when the story falters. Where “Constantine” falls short is in its pacing and sometimes muddled narrative — the plot can feel confusing and overstuffed, with too many ideas crammed into one film. Still, its ambition and atmosphere make it memorable. It may not be perfect, but it’s a stylish, entertaining dive into the supernatural that’s aged better than many might have expected.
- AngusMcNutzOctober 21, 2024Contains the tastiest looking eggs ever shown on film. Objectively atrocious but fun movie
- keithy077October 9, 2025Kinda cult classic I would say.
- Jonas Hasle-JensenOctober 2, 2025A must see!
