Som næsten voksen sendes han til det fjerne Østen for at videreudvikle og raffinere sine evner i krigskunst. Nu, som fuldvoksen kriger, bliver han hurtigt kendt og frygtet i en verden, der ellers ikke mangler skræmmende modstandere. Barbaren Conan bliver den største af dem alle, men han har aldrig glemt sine forældres skæbne. Drømmen om hævn har holdt ham i live i alle disse år. Men nu er tiden kommet, hvor regnskabet skal gøres op - og gælden betales i blod..! Oliver Stone står for filmens manuskript, hvilket langt hen ad vejen forklarer, hvorfor filmen stadig holder den dag i dag!

- Zokkiie5. januar 2026This movie absolutely rocks. The music is legendary, the world feels huge and brutal and mythic, and every scene just drips with old-school fantasy atmosphere. Arnold is perfect as Conan — quiet, intense, and totally believable — and the whole thing feels like a metal album cover come to life. It’s a little slow and very 80s in places, but honestly that just adds to the vibe. An all-time classic if you like swords, sorcery, and epic fantasy.
- pipanni3. oktober 2025This movie has not aged very well. The pacing is too slow and the plot is paper thin. Arnold is always fun to watch, but the characters have so little dialogue that no one has much of a personality. Also, something that always bothers me: it's obvious that the people involved in the Conan movies (this one, the sequel and the one from 2011) have never read a Conan story. Sure, our hero is very strong, but he is also incredibly clever, resourceful, charismatic and able to talk his way out of most situations. Sort of a James Bond or Jason Bourne type, but with great physical strength and using a sword instead of a gun. Maybe someday someone with a hefty budget and a true knowledge of Conan will make a proper movie or even better a TV show. But for now we have these nostalgic but lame movies.

This was panned back in the day be Critics, which was okay it told us that it was going to be fun, Thing is we didn't agree with the critics back then but at least they had a standard to go by, and that films had to be measured by whether they were Academy Award films, everything else was garbage to them. Now a days the critics just pander to the film studios for access and promote the absolute garbage of films. oh, how the times have changed

- Mister Arn14. maj 2025Read Conan short stories growing up and was very pleased when Schwarzenegger brought him to life. Some of the battle scenes don't hold up, but it's still worth watching.
