Colossal Ratings & Reviews
- James SaenzMay 31, 2025“i used to think it was something else, that you wanted me to be yours, that you wanted to possess me, but no, it’s so much simpler than that… you can’t stand that your life feels so small. it’s that simple… and sad.” this took a far more interesting narrative approach than i thought it would going in, even with knowing the premise. it’s darker and more complex than a simple alcoholism allegory, and towards the end of the film there’s a sequence in a park playground that genuinely felt dire. the cinematography is pretty bog standard, but there are some fun moments with the camera. anne hathaway is giving a great performance as always, and i’ve never seen jason sudeikis in this kind of role, which was so refreshing to watch. a pleasant surprise.
- TheLostArtOfLivingMay 8, 2026I kept expecting something else to happen that wasn't like sibling rivalry and the oil & water stuff doesn't make sense, nobody's laughing and seems like they came with anger issues that don't help the story, and makes it kind of drag and wonder what else there is to do instead of keep watching, but the monster and robot thing was really fun.
