Charlie Chan in Egypt Ratings & Reviews
- Richard17 oktober 2025I remember watching this on TV as a kid with my parents and absolutely loving the main character. It’s definitely a product of its time, something that couldn’t be made today, but that’s what makes it so fascinating. You have to watch it with the 1930s in mind to really appreciate its humor, style and cultural context. A nostalgic and eye opening experience.
- Mister Arn15 oktober 2024This film uses Fetchit as its counterpoint to Chan. It uses harmful racial stereotypes to power its humor. I realize the film was made in 1935, but it's not fun or funny anymore.
