Love the craft, the acting and sacrificial eternal love. I can see how this film has inspired a generation of filmmakers to film on love triangle. Absolutely brilliant filmmaking.

This movie is an absolute classic. This movie is a movie that will go down in history as the pinnacle point of the Hollywood system, and the most iconic Warner Bros. movie ever made that does not feature the Looney Tunes. Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman are both flawless. The music score by Max Steiner is iconic and as time goes by we’ll go down in history as one of the most iconic songs in movie history what else is there for me to say other than it’s Casablanca and he’s looking at you kid 😉

Plays out just the way it should. Bogart is a stud. Bergman is captivating. Renault is a great character. And Wilson can sing. Romantic.

I wanted to check this out in the theater for it’s re-release, but thanks to the fact that literally the only showtime for it was 11:00am on a Wednesday, about an hour away from my house, I just could make it in. Finally decided to cross this off my Shame List now anyways. Wouldn’t you know it, Casablanca is a pretty lovely film. Score, soundtrack, cinematography…. everything. I think that most of my favorite romances are those with that bittersweet end, and this is definitely one of the all-timers. Have you heard of this movie? 😀 I think it’s worth checking out, if you haven’t.

A breath of fresh air in a movie landscape, where unique storylines and morality is rare. As someone that has obviously seen a ton of movies, I was not necessarily prepared for the ending and how unique it was compared to many movies in today’s age that just copy and paste what others do. This movie shows that there can be optimism when people feel like the entire world is going to be demolished as many dead during World War II. I say that because this movie came out in 1942 and not after World War II. Not many movies can have unique writing, editing, and an amazing storyline in one show. Today, movies are trying to grab your attention every single second. This movie chose an alternative routes where you have to actually have patience throughout certain scenes. As someone that is a part of Generation Z, I can say that this movie definitely feels like a breath of fresh air compared to many movies that have been coming out in today’s age.

Much different of a story than I was expecting from the hype. It was more of a thriller than I expected. Predictable by modern standards as it may be, I still found it enjoyable.

One would need a strong argument for why one might think this is anything other than perfect cinema.

    At least they had Paris!

The performances are great or at least appropriately intriguing but the story is far too 2-dimensional for me to understand how this remains in the pantheons of film. The fact it's getting on to century in age is no excuse. Not boring, not offensive, not bad just....not.
