Carry-On Ratings & Reviews
- Snedaker21HillMarch 19, 2025Anything with Jason Bateman I am instantly a fan, Taron Egerton is a sweet treat to make this movie even better. I am just grateful I was able to watch a movie that is original, not another freaking unnecessary remake, not another stupid sequal, finally a good action packed original story. May have not been the best movie but this was good movie, a good action thriller with great characters, great storyline, and the possibility of a rewatch. I do not find many rewatches in this day of age. This was a delightful movie to happen upon.
- jwalkinFebruary 24, 2025There is so much wrong with the plot it is extremely funny to watch.
- 匚卂尺ㄥFebruary 20, 2025"Carry On" Delivers Beyond Expectations Netflix has outdone itself once again with its latest release, "Carry On." This film is a masterclass in storytelling, packed with suspense, emotion, and brilliant performances that left me glued to the screen from start to finish. I can confidently say it’s one of the best movies I’ve watched in a long time, and it’s destined to become a classic. The plot of "Carry On" is refreshingly original, expertly blending high-stakes drama with moments of heartfelt connection. The pacing is spot on, with just the right balance of action, intrigue, and emotional depth. Every twist and turn had me on the edge of my seat, eager to see what would happen next. The cast deserves a standing ovation for their stellar performances. Each actor brings their character to life with such authenticity and passion that you can’t help but become emotionally invested in their journey. The chemistry between the leads is electric, and their portrayal of complex relationships is both relatable and deeply moving. What truly sets "Carry On" apart is its ability to evoke a wide range of emotions. One moment you’re holding your breath in anticipation, and the next you’re laughing or even tearing up. It’s rare for a movie to strike such a perfect balance, but "Carry On" manages to do so effortlessly. The cinematography is another highlight, capturing stunning visuals that enhance the narrative’s intensity and beauty. The score is equally impressive, perfectly complementing the film’s tone and amplifying its emotional impact. In a sea of streaming options, "Carry On" shines brightly as a must-watch. It’s a film that stays with you long after the credits roll, reminding you why you love movies in the first place. I can’t recommend it highly enough. Whether you’re a fan of thrillers, heartfelt dramas, or simply great cinema, "Carry On" is an absolute triumph that deserves all the praise it’s bound to receive. Bravo, Netflix! This one’s a masterpiece.
- VarunDecember 16, 2024Really engaging thriller, the manipulative mind games played by the villain were top notch. The conversations and scenes were very tense and the combat was great. I did have a gripe towards the end with the unrealistic stupidity of one of the villains going ballistic when they were trying to keep a low profile for so long, the risk makes no sense. Some of the plot beats are generic and uninspired, but I enjoyed the tight pacing and overall intensity, the back and forth banter is really entertaining and the strongest element of the film is making you wonder what you would do in a situation where you have to weigh the lives of strangers against your own and loved ones’ safety.
- KentFebruary 16, 2025Not bad. Not great. Meh...
- disco_walkerFebruary 15, 2025Terrible.
- DJDecember 28, 2024Are you sick of watching Die Hard year after year like the rest of us who are action deprived in December? I mean, no one really is sick of Did Hard year after year, but if you are looking for a modern version of it Carry On will tickle your fancy. Some of the plot is a bit outlandish, but eh, it’s a Christmas action movie not a documentary. Bateman plays a great villain (not a spoiler… you find that out in minute one). It did feature a really fun and violent car/gun fight, but overall a fun ride from start to finish and worth giving a shot.
- Luke EricksonDecember 14, 2024Decent action film but I wish Taron Egerton ran better, like Tom Cruise. His running was just a little off to me. Suspend a lot of belief in this movie guys.
- RyezooFebruary 4, 2025These people saying die hard in any regard might be a little delusional. This is a very cheap movie and contains some very laughably stupid scenes. The only thing holding this back from a completely negative rating is solid performances by Egerton and Bateman. This movie felt that I’ve seen this before and is extremely predictable. I would say this falls under not necessary viewership.
- Rob Logan | The Geek GenerationJanuary 14, 2025A fun premise with some good ideas, but the script needed another pass to cut out some of the really dumb decisions that these characters make in several situations. Also, Taron Egerton and Sofia Carson have zero chemistry together. Not a bad "shut your brain off" action movie though.
- S JohnsonJanuary 8, 2025Slightly better than a made for TV movie. Wasn’t awful but nothing memorable.
- Darren WebsterDecember 30, 2024Really not bad at all. I was expecting an okay movie as Bateman doesn't really do bad stuff, but this really caught me off guard with how good it was. The premise is a bit contrived, but it creates a good setup for a good thriller.
- JkrilinDecember 29, 2024This film is an explosive combo of tension, action, and edge-of-the-seat emotions. Taron Egerton shines as the TSA agent caught in a life-or-death dilemma, and Jason Bateman surprises with his performance as the charismatic and manipulative antagonist. Sofia Carson and Danielle Deadwyler complement the plot with performances that add depth and emotion to the story. The plot, set during Christmas Eve, not only generates suspense, but also highlights the struggle between duty, fear, and hope in a claustrophobic and adrenaline-filled setting. A film that keeps you hooked from beginning to end. What would you do if you were in a dilemma like this during the holidays?
- denis2165December 28, 2024It was okay nothing to write home to Mom about
- Mike PDecember 22, 2024pretty dogshit movie! jason bateman is the only good thing here but even he is just playing his standard "jason bateman" character. cheap attempt at capturing the die hard magic that falls flat at almost every turn. bad!
