A historic performance by one of the most enigmatic and poetic artists in Cuban music, Carlos Varela. Cuban singer-songwriter Carlos Varela is revered throughout Cuba, where he is celebrated for his songs, and has been called "The Voice of a Generation." Uplifting and defiant, at times soothing and at others explosive, Varela is courageously outspoken in the manner of a true revolutionary. The powerful allegorical alchemy and undeniable emotional truth delivered by Varela, has drawn comparisons to, and he has been frequently referred to as "Cuba's Bob Dylan."To celebrate his career's 30th anniversary Carlos invited a group of renowned artists and friends to join him in two legendary concerts in the Teatro Nacional de Cuba. Join Jackson Browne, Ivan Lins, Luis Enrique, Visitante-(from Calle 13), Juan and Samuel Formell (Los Van Van), X Alfonso, Alexander Abreu, and Diana Fuentes among others, as they perform with Carlos his greatest hits backed by his band and a string orchestra, The Orchesta De Camara De La Habana.
