Solid movie with a unique story and visuals. We don't get enough of these big budget movies anymore.

Bright feels like a really cool idea that never fully becomes a great movie. I honestly imagined this is what the world would look like 2000 years after Sauron died, haha. The mix of fantasy races with modern police, gangs, and cities is creepy and kind of fascinating, and overall the vibe is strangely terrifying in a way that works. Joel Edgerton is especially good and adds a lot of heart to the film, and his chemistry with Will Smith makes the buddy-cop angle enjoyable. There are some genuinely tense and fun action scenes, and the world itself feels original and different from typical fantasy. That said, the story feels rushed and underexplained, like the movie is in a hurry to get to the next shootout instead of letting the world breathe. The last third is clearly worse than the rest, turning into a generic action climax and losing the interesting atmosphere it started with. A lot of ideas are introduced but never really explored, which makes the whole thing feel slightly disappointing. In the end it’s not bad, just uneven — a weird, entertaining movie with a great concept that could have been something much better
