Baron Henry Frankenstein and his monster both turn out to be alive, not killed as previously believed. Frankenstein wants to get out of the evil-experiment business, but when mad scientist Dr. Pretorius kidnaps his wife, Frankenstein agrees to help him create a new creature, a woman, to be the companion of the monster.

    Takes the 'monster' a step farther and becomes a social commentary that is accurately frustrating in all the right ways. For modern audiences this sequel is an easier and more rewarding watch than the first.

    The opening sets the stage for melodrama dressed up as a horror movie. The only likable person is the blind hermit.
