- RichardSeptember 29, 2025Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey is like catching up with old friends who’ve gone a little weirder since you last saw them. It’s enjoyable, no doubt, there’s still that lovable slacker energy, the absurd humor and the wild ride through time and space (and this time, even the afterlife). But compared to the first film’s fresh charm, this sequel feels more chaotic than clever. The heart is still there and the humor mostly lands. It’s just that Excellent Adventure had a kind of innocent magic that Bogus Journey tries to outdo with louder, weirder antics. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Still, if you love Bill and Ted, this is a ride worth taking.
