- SirMonkalot2. Februar 2026This obviously has a ridiculous premise but it actually starts out not half bad. It was stupid, fun and made me laugh, but that didn’t last long and it kind of dragged on towards the middle/end. I think it would have worked better as a short film.
- jackmeat17. Juni 2025My quick rating - 6.5/10. This movie is so much fun to watch. There is no denying how they made sure to have a sadistic killer doll be so damn cute and funny to distract you from its murderous tendencies. Brilliantly done that all three of us were cracking up the entire flick. When a little Elmo-looking doll is given to young Jack (of course), it becomes his best friend forever. But when he grows older and decides he doesn't need him anymore, well, poor Benny is a bit jealous and will need to slaughter anyone who vies for Jack's love. The effects are beyond practical for sure, which adds to the enjoyment. The acting is very deadpan, which helps the comedic timing a bit. The ever-present romance is handled in an "oh, it is a trope, so we have to have one" manner, so in other words, it is also part of the joke. Very much a diamond in the rough. After viewing, don't be surprised if the lines are stuck in your head for days. Out of the blue, you will be saying "Benny Loves You" and giggling with a butcher knife in your hand :)

Nach dem äußerst bizarren Tod seiner Mutter und seines Vaters muss der unbeholfene Jack sein Elternhaus, aus dem er nie ausgezogen ist, verkaufen. Beim Ausmisten fällt ihm Benny, sein treuer Begleiter aus Kindheitstagen, in die Hände. Doch statt seinen alten Kumpel wertzuschätzen, wirft Jack ihn einfach weg. Allerdings hat er die Rechnung ohne das knuffige Stofftier gemacht, denn das erwacht auf mysteriöse Weise zum Leben - doch nicht, um Jack den lieben langen Tag zu knuddeln, sondern um ihn zu beschützen. Und unter "beschützen" versteht Benny "vernichten"! Jeder, der Jack in den Knopfaugen des flauschigen Killers Unrecht tut, wird gnadenlos zerhackt, aufgeschlitzt oder ausgeweidet. Dass das nicht lange gutgehen kann, versteht sich von selber. Und so beschließt Jack irgendwann, seinen amoklaufenden Teddy auf Eis zu legen. Doch das ist leichter gesagt, als getan, denn eines ist klar: Die Hölle kennt keinen schlimmeren Zorn als den eines verschmähten Kuscheltiers.
