Verma tells them about two lovers, Suraj and Nisha, who loved each other but Thakur lusted on Nisha and on their wedding night Thakur killed Suraj and Nisha committed suicide, and it's her spirit that haunts the mansion even after 20 years. Thakur's daughter Kiran returns from London and introduces her husband to Thakur, who is shocked at the man's resemblance to Suraj--and that his name is Suraj too. Nisha's spirit waits for Suraj and wants to unite with him. On the night of the new moon she inserts a nail into his leg and he remembers his past life. Nisha must insert another nail in Suraj's other foot on the next new-moon night, but Kiran won't let her husband surrender to Nisha's spirit.
