Becky Ratings & Reviews

Watched the movie because Paul Blart mall cop plays a murderous neo nazi. Wasn't expecting much but Paul Blart was not great. It does seem like they tried to do something new, the plot is kind of bizarre which is probably the just enjoyable part. But it didn't seem very well written to me. Not sure how long it was but it felt way too long

No one is bad in the film, but it just feels really haphazard. It seemed like characters were positioned throughout the movie by the writers.
Paste Magazine

Don't confuse Becky for a smart movie... It will, however, provide a brief burst of catharsis through the brutal slaughter of white supremacist ideologues, for whatever that catharsis is worth.
Third Coast Review
Steven Prokopy
I don't tend to get squeamish when the blood and guts start spilling, but even I was startled by some of what's here...
Chicago Reader
Becca James
...it's Becky who channels her teen angst into exceedingly clever and increasingly cruel ways to fight back. Watching Wilson doing so from the start and with a bit of a smirk is wholly compelling.
Chicago Sun-Times
Richard Roeper
The King of Queens star makes a convincing monster in this gory horror thriller...
Rolling Stone
Peter Travers
Stunt casting Kevin James as a neo-Nazi falls flat like everything else in this ultra-violent, ultra-stupid smarm-bomb that deserves to take a few lumps before shuffling off to the digital boneyard.
Crooked Marquee
Kristy Puchko
Jonathan Milott and Cary Murnion, co-directors of the action-packed B-movies Cooties and Bushwick, reteam for their best yet.

Green Room did it better.

Perfectly serviceable thriller... I almost watched all of this movie before I realized that was Kevin James!
IndieWire
Kate Erbland
Becky, and her audience, deserve something with a bit more fire.
Austin Chronicle
Richard Whittaker
Even if this all seems a little absurd for you, just take a degree of pleasure in seeing neo-Nazis getting brutalized by a teenage girl. That never gets old.
TheWrap

To say that Becky is the reason to watch Becky is, perhaps, to state the obvious.
Polygon
Karen Han
Becky is well-oiled, and mostly succeeds in making its mark as a thriller.
Bloody Disgusting
Meagan Navarro
It's the violence and gore that offers surprises in a fairly by-the-numbers, paper thin plot. That gore, in conjunction with Wilson's fully committed performance, makes Becky a lean, mean viewing experience.
RogerEbert.com
Brian Tallerico
The most depressing thing about "Becky" is how little Murnion and Milott do with the star of The King of Queens whose performance is far and away the best thing about this frustrating movie.
Newsday
Rafer Guzman
It's probably too much to ask James to channel Robert Mitchum in "Cape Fear," but a little gleam in the eyes or a baring of fangs would have been welcome.
Tribune News Service
Katie Walsh
The problem with "Becky" is there's both too much information to sustain any tension, and not enough to sustain interest.
Variety
Dennis Harvey
Lean, mean, nasty fun that will appeal to genre fans with hard-edged tastes.
The Hollywood Reporter
Jordan Mintzer
Carnage, dished out in ample doses, tends to be the highlight of an otherwise passable B-grade exercise in tension, torture and human endurance.
