This was a brilliant watch - the Beastie Boys are so good at speaking with each other, the decades of experience in 'tag team' rap really shows. Seeing them fill in for each other, especially when speaking about MCA was really special to see. I'm so glad I took the time to watch this

As a long-time fan of the Beastie Boys, having followed their music for years, I found "Beastie Boys Story" to be an incredibly moving and well-crafted tribute to their legacy. Being 40 years old, their music has been a significant part of my life, and the film brought back a flood of memories tied to their sound and energy. What really struck me about the movie was how well it captured the essence of the group—their humor, their creativity, and their evolution as artists and people. The storytelling format, with Mike D and Ad-Rock narrating on stage, felt personal and intimate, as if they were speaking directly to fans like me who’ve been there through their journey. Two of my favorite songs, "Son of Neckbone" and the tracks from "The In Sound From Way Out," showcase their ability to create genre-defying, instrumental masterpieces. Seeing their creative process and evolution in the film made me appreciate those tracks even more. "The In Sound From Way Out" has always been a true masterpiece in my eyes, and the movie’s insight into their experimentation and musical versatility validated why it has remained such an important album for me. One of the most emotional moments was when they talked about Yauch. The love and respect Mike D and Ad-Rock showed for their late bandmate was palpable, and it was impossible not to get emotional. Yauch’s influence went beyond music; he was a visionary and a driving force behind much of what made the Beastie Boys so special. That part of the film reminded me of how much his presence is missed, not just by the band but by the entire music world. Overall, "Beastie Boys Story" was a beautifully put-together film that celebrated their legacy while also being honest and heartfelt. It was a reminder of why I fell in love with their music in the first place and why their impact continues to resonate. For a lifelong fan, it was more than a documentary—it was a deeply personal experience.
