Baskin Ratings & Reviews
- Matthias_812April 2, 2025Things take a bit before getting started. In fact, I'd argue to say most of the first twenty-five minutes could had been cut. The real heat kicks off when the police squad arrived at the abandoned building. When the first imagery of Hell is revealed- Baskin is on fire. That's really all Baskin has going for it. The portrayal of Hell is nightmarish and bleak. The images stay with you. Wasn't a fan of the back and forth mind games and by the end events, it didn't hold much interest. Solid execution of Hell on film, pretty mediocre outside of that. Bonus points for using a song from Cannibal Holocaust. This gorehound cracked a smile.
- AngusMcNutzFebruary 13, 2025Cinematic equivalent of a Nyquil-fueled nightmare. Even for just a gorefest, this is pretty lacking in cohesion. Leaves you feeling weirdly bored in the midst of being obliterated with it all.
- Daniel GustavssonOctober 11, 2024Very nice movie! The characters are believable and the acting is great. Actually the effects are very nice too and the movie is very nicely shot. It's a bit hard to explain but it has a sense of macabre beauty to it. It truly feels otherworldly, and not just simply gory too, which helps alot with the tone of this movie. And most importantly, the movie is truly a "horror" movie, and it really frightens you and makes you unsettled instead of just using the normal horror movie setup. I would recommend this to any horror fan.
