- Manuel FrangisMarch 26, 2025I just watched Back to the Future again and I give it 5 out of 5 stars. This movie is perfect. No matter how many times I watch it, it never stops being fun. The characters are iconic, the story is super clever, the pacing is spot on, and it just has that magic energy that very few movies can capture. It is one of the best time travel movies ever made, hands down. Michael J. Fox is amazing as Marty McFly, the cool but relatable teenager who accidentally travels back in time to 1955. From the second he’s on screen, you’re rooting for him. He’s funny, quick on his feet, and you totally buy him as a kid trying to navigate a situation that keeps getting more and more complicated. Whether he’s skateboarding through town or awkwardly dealing with his teenage parents, he carries every scene with just the right balance of charm and panic. Christopher Lloyd as Doc Brown is absolutely legendary. His energy, wild facial expressions, and mad scientist voice make him unforgettable. Every scene with Doc is entertaining, and the chemistry between him and Marty is what really makes the movie shine. They’re complete opposites, but their friendship feels real and makes everything more fun. The way they bounce off each other is perfect. The time travel plot is super tight and easy to follow, even though it deals with big sci-fi ideas. Marty’s main mission is simple—get back to the future—but the way it all plays out is genius. Every choice he makes in the past has consequences, and the movie does a great job of showing how time travel can mess things up in ways you would never expect. There’s tension, comedy, and just the right amount of chaos. The 1950s setting is done so well. The production design, costumes, and music all make you feel like you’ve actually traveled back in time. Everything from the cars to the hairstyles to the diner scenes helps bring the world to life. The contrast between Marty’s modern attitude and the old-school setting adds so many great moments. It’s packed with little details that make each rewatch better. The supporting characters are all great too. George McFly, Lorraine, Biff—each one is memorable and has their own arc. Watching George go from nervous wreck to standing up for himself is so satisfying. Biff is such a classic bully, and he plays the role perfectly. Even the smaller characters add to the world and bring in laughs. The soundtrack is iconic. Huey Lewis and the News, the score by Alan Silvestri, the clock tower sequence—it all hits so hard. The music gives the movie even more energy and adds to every big moment. That theme is instantly recognizable and still gets stuck in my head in the best way. I give Back to the Future 5 out of 5 stars because it’s basically a flawless movie. It’s smart, funny, exciting, emotional, and just straight-up entertaining from beginning to end. The characters are unforgettable, the writing is clever, and every single scene has a purpose. Overall Back to the Future is a masterpiece of adventure and storytelling that totally holds up today. It’s a movie I’ll always go back to. No matter how much time passes, it’s still just as fun as the first time I saw it. Great Scott, this movie rules.
- Das_LamaJuly 4, 2025My opinion is definitely in the minority. I didn't like this movie in the 1980s and even less now. I didn't think the movie was particularly funny or interesting. Most folks like/love this movie. I just don't get it.
- HarleyJune 16, 2025Imagine going back in time and having your mom hit on you. That's just gross, Marty.
- DdoughnutJuly 3, 2025One of the easiest 5s I've ever given in my life
- Kevin WardJuly 1, 2025Watched with my youngest son for the first time tonight. It had been a really long time since I’d seen it, but I still love it so much. It’s extremely well written, with lots of great setups and call backs that work really well, and hardly any line of dialogue is wasted. I know it’s blasphemy, but I would love a remake or a reboot of this franchise. While my son enjoyed it, so many of the joke references are quite dated and flew completely over his head. I think there’s plenty of room to refresh this franchise.
- Crypto knightJune 27, 2025A timeless classic. Fun and entertaining. From the age of creativity. Unlike the modern comic book rip off. And Hollywood writers strike for being bad at their job nowadays? Come on writers try thinking of your own stories.

- 匚卂尺ㄥJanuary 26, 2025Classic 80's sci-fi comedy. Really good movies from start to finish, and you don't need a time machine to watch them again.
- tellumJune 26, 2025Basically defines the time travel genre and every movie that addresses the subject is influenced by this movie in some way. Also very underrated as a comedy, all the actors are excellent and funny, and the writing is incredibly detailed for the time. A true classic.
