- astronautpngJuly 5, 2025It was very the first movie about OCD that I watched and I could find out that I probably had it. That was in 2017. Then I watched it two years ago. Now today, and It’s still amazing like the first time. It was the first time I saw a movie related with OCD representation without making a joke so it makes me cry in some parts.
- JeremeyMay 22, 2025A movie about a cranky, obsessive, casually offensive novelist somehow turning into one of the most relatable characters you’ve ever seen. Jack Nicholson plays Clint Eastwood — I mean, the human version of “get off my lawn” — if that lawn was made of bar soap, sarcasm, and brutal honesty. Helen Hunt? Peak 90s power — the emotional backbone, the moral compass, and a walking reminder of why you had a crush on every tired-looking waitress in a ponytail. Greg Kinnear exists solely to suffer — for plot, for sympathy, and so Jack can learn just enough humanity to not die alone. This movie should’ve been a slow-burning awkward mess. Instead, it’s hilarious, uncomfortable, tender, and low-key perfect. At 20, you laugh because he’s a dick. At 40, you laugh because you’ve become him... oh well. Jack’s character is what Gen Z calls a walking red flag. What I call... Tuesday. And let’s be real — this is a guy who feeds a dog that’s not his with tongs, locks his door with three deadbolts, and somehow still drops “You make me want to be a better man” like it’s a Hallmark moment. ★★★★★ – Not a rom-com. Emotional blackmail... and it works.

- The Gutter MonkeyFebruary 8, 2025A feel-good '90s rom-com that never manages to veer into schlock or sappiness. It's an original story with flawed characters you fall in love with.
- rvbrooksNovember 28, 2024One of the best movies from the 90s. Nicholson at his best.
