Claire et Hailey sont les meilleures amies du monde. Lorsqu'elles découvrent une sirène, Aquamarine, échouée dans la ville de Floride où Claire vit avec ses grands-parents, c'est le début d'une incroyable aventure. Aqua s'est enfuie de chez elle pour échapper à un mariage forcé. Elle rêve du grand amour, et si elle parvient à prouver à son père qu'il existe, alors il la libèrera de son engagement. Mais elle n'a que trois jours pour y parvenir. Claire et Hailey vont tout faire pour l'aider... En échange, Aqua leur promet de réaliser leur voeu le plus cher : faire en sorte que ce week-end ne soit pas leur dernier ensemble, puisque Hailey doit déménager en Australie... Pour les trois amies, il y a urgence. Aqua a repéré Raymond Calder, le maître-nageur du Capri Club, mais elle va découvrir que trouver le grand amour n'a pas grand-chose à voir avec ce qui est écrit dans les magazines.

- Callum22 décembre 2025⭐⭐⭐ – Aquamarine – Sugar, sunshine, and mermaid sparkle Aquamarine really does feel like The Little Mermaid dipped in early-2000s teen-movie gloss and turned up to eleven. It’s bright, bubbly, and unapologetically cute — the kind of film that knows exactly who it’s for and never once pretends otherwise. Kids will love it. Young teens will adore it. Adults will mostly smile politely and let it run its course. What helps is the cast. Emma Roberts, JoJo, Sara Paxton, and Arielle Kebbel were all perfectly matched to this kind of material at the time: saccharine sweetness, beachy energy, and just enough charm to carry a light fantasy without it collapsing into total fluff. It’s also worth noting that none of them ended up permanently typecast by it, which is honestly a small miracle — this is exactly the sort of film that can quietly trap actors in a “remember them from that one thing” loop. There’s nothing here chasing awards, depth, or reinvention. The story is thin, the conflicts are gentle, and the stakes are intentionally low. But that’s also its strength. It’s wholesome, inoffensive, and easy to watch — the cinematic equivalent of a sunny afternoon where nothing much happens and that’s entirely the point. You wouldn’t recommend this as essential viewing, but for its intended audience it does the job well. A harmless bit of fantasy fun, best enjoyed without expectation and preferably with someone young enough to fully buy into the magic. 🥤 Drink Pairing A chilled fruit soda or tropical mocktail — sweet, fizzy, and colourful. Nothing complex, nothing challenging, just something bright to match the tone.
- Tiffie Starchild30 juin 2025SUMMER WATCH PARTY!!! Aquamarine is the ULTIMATE summer movie, especially if you ever played mermaids in the pool as a kid 🥹. This was mermaidcore before it was even a thing: cute little beach town, mermaid royalty (I think she’s a princess?!), salt water hair, starfish earrings, and the CUTEST lil blue dress thing that she kept repurposing while on land - I AM TELLING YOU THIS MOVIE IS EVERYTHING 😭. There’s even a part where the bully gets her comeuppance in THEEEE most satisfying way - nothing major, but ol’ girl gets clocked and we love to see it! My only (joking) complaint is that Jojo never sang in this movie, which is perfectly understandable but come on.. it’s Jojo. Like grab a mic and save ya granny’s hotel or whatever, girl! Super lighthearted flick that stands the test of time. Turn your brain off, this movie, and thank me later 🥰💕
