When Andre gets diagnosed with colon cancer, he decides to chronicle his journey of figuring out how to die on his own terms, and with his sense of humor still in tact. It’s sobering to watch Andre gradually wither away to his disease. I’ve been personally affected by colon cancer this year. My friend Anthony passed away earlier this year and my sister-in-law was recently diagnosed and is undergoing treatment. Both of them are/were under 50 years old. Prompted me to get my first screening and my doc said they’re starting to recommend screening at 45 now, rather than 50. (So, PSA: Please get checked out 🙇🏻 if you’re approaching or over 45.)
