- "THE MOVIE FANATIC"May 7, 2026Amitiville 2: The Possession - is by a landslide the best entry out of all the sequels; this is the one that feels most connected to the first film and best captures the overall look, feel, tone & atmosphere to the 1979 film. Amitiville 2: The Possession is basically the Jaws 2 to Amitiville 1979; however even though this installment feels most connected to that original film; The Amitiville Horror 1979 still is my favourite but really like this 2nd film as well.
