The film tells the story of Fernandinho, an 8-year-old boy who has lost his mother, becoming a lonely boy. To get closer to him, his father gives him a book of his own childhood. Delighted with it, Fernandinho asks for a red airplane to save Captain Storm - the airman from the book who is prisoner in Russia. On board of the airplane with his favorite toys, Fernandinho travels around the world, overcoming his fears and making new discoveries.
