The action scenes in this movie are gritty and exciting, it is also one of the earlier films to make good use of the first person point of view. Unfortunately, the high quality and excitement of the action is matched by the lackluster experience in between, with a stunted script, mediocre performances, and a contrived plot. Other negatives include sometimes terrible explosion effects (even more fire than normal, which really undercuts the realistic effect they are going for in other parts of the film) and monologues that contain many tropes of toxic masculinity. In terms of this type of movie overall, best just skip it and watch Warfare (2025) instead.
- Delta_5117. januar 2026This movie has some of the best military action sequences in it of any modern film. This is an awesome demonstration of professional soldiers doing cool things, with a glimpse into a world that I spent some time in. The acting in script are a mediocre framework for an incredible demonstration of real-life shooters. If you're watching this for the story you're doing it wrong. Each individual sub story is based on things that have really happened in this world. The overarching story is the week part by far. But it's just so darn cool to watch that I give it five stars without seconds hesitation.
