Inspired by David Baldacci's novel, and the ruthlessness of people in power. President Alan Richmond believes that everything he does is beyond reproach, including an affair or two. Simply an outstanding thriller with a most intriguing plot. Clint Eastwood is at his best, albeit in much more of a character than a macho role, and Gene Hackman, Scott Glenn, Ed Harris, Laura Linney, and E.G. Marshall are outstanding. Given a few years between viewings, this one is worth watching more than once!
