Directed by David AyerLevon Cade left his profession behind to work construction and be a good dad to his daughter. But when a local girl vanishes, he's asked to return to the skills that made him a mythic figure in the shadowy world of counter-terrorism.
- Chris CApril 2, 2025By this point, we should all pretty much know what to expect from a Jason Statham action film. This one delivers on those expectations. It doesn't break any new ground as an action film, but it's still a solid outing. The fight scenes are clean and well-choreographed. You'll receive your expected quota of pithy comments and comebacks. There's nothing that elevates this to a really great action film, but similarly there isn't anything that detracts it from delivering what you'd expect. David Harbour is a nice addition for a few scenes and largely steals all the ones he's in. Michael Peña is, sadly, hardly given any screen time and he isn't really given anything to work with for the few scenes he has. Overall, this movie will deliver what you want, if what you want is a Jason Statham action flick.
- RipLinesManApril 16, 2025Where Event Horizon (1997) peers into the terrifying unknown of space, A Working Man digs into the brutal clarity of real-world violence and redemption. It trades interdimensional horror for sweat, scars, and a relentless pace, anchored by a lead performance that feels as weathered as the tools in his hands. While it doesn't unnerve the soul quite like its sci-fi counterpart, it strikes hard with purpose and restraint. Gritty, human, and unwavering—it earns its stars the hard way.
- DarkleyApril 1, 2025That was such a terrible movie.... I usually love Jason Statham movies but thos one is just not worth watching. I just wasted time I will never get back. The story is just copying 100s of other movies. The action scenes are way overboard. Even Superman gets more of a fight than he did. Garbage.
- ckdunn1May 11, 2025Why such a low rating? Why did the Hispanic thugs come on the job site and neat up one of the construction workers, get their butts handed to them by Statham, and then never be seen again in the movie? Even the guy getting beat up gave no explanation for why, and we never saw him again either. 10 minutes later, the bad guys are Russian Mafia, dressed like 90's MTV rejects with REALLY, REALLY bad Russian accents. The writing was terrible, the characters were one-dimensional, the acting was poor at best. Jason Statham is quickly becoming the Steven Seagal of our day. How many movies did Seagal make where he was a cook on a train/ship/submarine who was really a Special Ops guru lying low? This is the direction Statham is heading. There is nothing redeeming about this movie. Period.
- rustycaboosetoeJanuary 22, 2026This movie is proof that I will watch any movie with Jason Statham in it. It feels like the few decent actors were trying their best to make a decent film while being kneecapped by bad writing and a terrible director. From stupid one liner dialogue to terrible sound effects (beeping tracking device. Why is it beeping and why does it stop when he puts it in his pocket?) the movie storyline plays similar to the 8 minutes of Rick and Mortys pickle Rick episode when he pops out of the toilet in the foreign diplomats compound.
