The story hits all the expected beats: seasonal cheer, a gentle romance, minor misunderstandings, and a neatly wrapped ending that arrives right on cue. There’s nothing actively wrong with it — the performances are pleasant enough and the tone is completely inoffensive — but there’s also nothing here that stands out or lingers once the credits roll. It’s the kind of film that works fine as background viewing while decorating the house or cooking dinner, but it doesn’t demand attention or emotional investment. At 2.5 stars, this sits firmly in the middle of the Hallmark pack. Perfectly watchable, entirely predictable, and ultimately forgettable — sweet in the moment, but unlikely to leave a lasting impression once the Christmas lights come down. ☕ A milky hot chocolate with marshmallows Warm, sweet, comforting, and completely predictable. It does the job, feels nice in the moment, and doesn’t ask anything of you beyond showing up — much like the movie. Perfect to sip while half-watching from the couch as the rest of the house hums along around you.
