- 0 1December 26, 2025I liked "A Prophet" much more than The Godfather, which it pays homage to late in the film. The action sequences are stronger, the script is excellent, and the back and forth between the two main characters is what drives the film. The movie highlights the struggles faced by immigrants and minority groups in France, portraying a society that leaves little room for outsiders unless they fully adopt the French language, nationality, and abandon their previous cultural identity. Themes brought up in the movie include: the ethics of ambiguity. moral transformation
