Directed by Zack SnyderBased on Frank Miller's graphic novel, "300" is very loosely based the 480 B.C. Battle of Thermopylae, where the King of Sparta led his army against the advancing Persians; the battle is said to have inspired all of Greece to band together against the Persians, and helped usher in the world's first democracy.

- PI_3X5d agoA story we keep telling after well over two thousand years visualised in a way that can still be felt. Worth it.
- Ian FiloNovember 15, 2025One of the first Zach Snyder films I ever watched and boy do I love how epic this movie is.
- CallumNovember 8, 2025⭐⭐⭐⭐ – 300 – Oil, Honour, and Overdrive 300 is the kind of film that doesn’t just show history — it flexes it. Zack Snyder takes the legend of the Battle of Thermopylae and cranks it up to mythic levels, where every spear thrust, every slow-motion roar, and every ripple of muscle feels larger than life. It’s part war story, part graphic novel come to life, and entirely fuelled by testosterone. Gerard Butler commands the screen as King Leonidas, all grit and gravitas, delivering his now-iconic “This is Sparta!” with such conviction it practically echoes through pop culture itself. The rest of the cast serve as the perfect chorus of loyalty, rage, and oiled abs — more warriors than characters, but that’s the point. This isn’t realism; it’s legend painted in bronze and blood. Historically accurate? Hardly. The film’s roots in Frank Miller’s stylised comic make it clear that truth is secondary to spectacle. But the core — the defiance of a tiny force standing against impossible odds — still resonates. It’s primal storytelling done with operatic flair and visual style that defined a decade of action cinema. It’s unapologetically a “man’s movie”: all bellowing warriors, gleaming muscles, and slow-motion heroics. So much baby oil was used on set it’s a wonder the Persians didn’t just slip and retreat. 🥃 Pairing: A shot of ouzo — strong, fiery, and Greek to its core; you’ll feel it burn all the way down.
- runinhotNovember 3, 2025THIS IS SPARTAAAAA!!!!!!!
- lcrai50October 29, 2025Great movie!!!
- HaHaHarvey44May 8, 2025300 is less a movie and more a testosterone-fueled fever dream... like if a history class was taught by a bodybuilder on pre-workout and rage. Zack Snyder delivers two hours of oiled abs, slow-motion murder, and speeches shouted with the subtlety of a Spartan sword to the chest. It’s historically accurate in the same way pro wrestling is an Olympic sport, but who cares? Gerard Butler growls every line like he’s gargling gravel, and the visuals are drenched in so much CGI and sepia it looks like the entire film was shot inside a protein powder factory. Subtle? No. Profound? God, no. Entertaining? Absolutely, if your brain’s had a few beers first. It’s dumb, loud, glorious nonsense.
- StreetterOctober 19, 2025Artistic Masterpiece. This is the definition of a MAN'S MOVIE
- DarkPower00August 24, 2025This is Sparta!
- GodofRanchOctober 9, 2025Action movies this good only come around a couple times in a generation. This movie delivers on everything you would want in a good action movie. The cinematography is fantastic. Easily a five-star watch
- StairwaytothestarsSeptember 23, 2025Great looking movie with a style all its own.
- mickerdooJuly 31, 2025Ground breaking use of effects, slo-mo and coloration. Butler is a brilliant Leonidas. Headey is gorgeous and poised. Well paired story.
- TubzJuly 13, 2025Never have so much spray on abs and oil been used, on so many bodies or so much cgi dying, to make a great movie and don’t forget the boobies.
- kikebaraJuly 26, 2025Great entertainment 😎 Love it
- cultfilmlikerJuly 7, 2025So bad. So good. So much nostalgia. Cinematography and slow-mo action sequences are still untouchable. It’s beautiful Zack Snyder is really really good at filming certain sequences! Also the production on this is incredible obviously
- Mikael ErikssonOctober 10, 2024One of the better.
